Hi Arcin, if you read books that fuel your fear, rather than your courage, it becomes a disconcerting spiral into ever greater fear.
To overcome fear of any state of consciousness, try my book The Art of Transforming Nightmares. It has tons of practices and an empowering message.
I wish you well.

I was on my bed and lying down and getting up and turning around and entering the hall of the house and then turned again and entered my room. And then a character opens the door of my room and greets me, and I get scared and scream and wake up. Next time during sleep paralysis or something like that, I yawned during automatic sleep and for a moment my eyes open and saw two characters sitting next to my bed and the same woman who greeted me before, this time from the character next to her. she asked another character, “Do you think he is sleeping?” He meant me. And later, I mean next time, when I woke up from the bed, I saw that the same character (she) was facing my room and smiling at me. In all the situations, she didn’t try to scare or attack me. but I am very afraid of lucid dreaming because of this character, usually I am good in the wild technique than I suddenly become aware in the dream scene, so I am always aware from inside my room, what should I do to overcome my fear? I read in a book that some dead people enter the dreams of others and want to show that person how they died. What should I do? Now, I am afraid of both the dark and the dream characters. I did a lot of research, and I am sure that dream characters are not the creation of our minds.

Hi Carole,

snakes often symbolise transformation, healing, and wisdom, but as I said on the course, every dreamer is unique in their life experiences, memories, and associations.

If this were my dream, I would feel sorry for the snake, who tried so hard to get my attention but never got it until it eventually died of thirst. I would re-enter the dream and fearlessly allow the story to develop in different ways, drawing on options from the Lucid Imaging Nightmare Solution.

But this is your dream. You may like to see what you can discover about the snake in Lucid Dreamplay such as Lucid Writing or “becoming” the snake.

You could do a dream re-entry and find out what happens if you release your fear and ask him why he is following you. Perhaps he has an important message for you, or a gift.

Maybe this snake will become a power animal or guide if you open your heart to him 😉

I just took your 21-day workshop with Mike Dooley.
I dreamt that a snake was following me around everywhere. I was fearful in my dream and I kept saying, “he won’t stop following me”- then near the end of the dream someone said, “he died of thirst”. What could this possibly mean?
